Are you a Visual Arts teacher who is comfortable with a pen, pencil or brush, but become perplexed when you hear talk of integrating technology into your classrrom? What's that all about, anyway?

Technology integration can mean many things for a Visual Arts classroom. The use of the Internet alone gives students access to materials otherwise unavailable to them. This increases efficiency and stimulates creativity, both serving to enrich the experiences you can provide to your students.

In this module we will explore a variety of ways to integrate technology into your Visual Arts classroom. This will include identifying informational and visual resources on the Internet, and working with your students to incorporate these resources into classroom presentations as well as using them in creating new artwork of their own.

In the Culminating Activity you will create a lesson in which students will design a guided field trip to a Web Museum.

Basic computer skills are required for this module such as launching applications, file organization skills, copying, pasting, saving files into different formats, using a web browser to search for and collect information and images, and maintaining a bibliography of sources.

So if you're ready, start with Activity 1!
