| Lucy's FAQ What are some of Lucy's latest tricks? The latest big development is... she rolled over! Front to back, in Sarasota, Fla. on the floor of my grandmother's house, on Sunday, Dec. 26. She also let out a legitimate-sounding giggle on Monday, Dec. 27. Unfortunately, the rest of her tricks (i.e., refusing to nurse, and waking up screaming in the middle of the night) are less fun. Why are there so many beeps on your stupid answering machine? Well, Joel has had the answering machine since we were in college. And come on, are you saying you're in SUCH a hurry to leave us a message that you can't tough it out through a few crummy beeps? Although if you've called us yet this year, you may have noticed the change! Our latest technological family member is a NEW phone-answerer (apparently they don't even call them "answering machines" anymore). Fewer beeps! More hilarity! Where are the pictures of the dog? Hobo and Lucy will not be appearing in any photographs together, as their respective agents are feuding over some signing-bonus crap. Did you really get your dog's and child's names from the Key's Restaurant breakfast menu? Twin Cities residents who dine at Key's Cafe will notice that the first two breakfast menu items are "The Lucy" and "The Hobo." While we do maintain that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, we also swear this is a total, albeit very weird coincidence. What's the third item on the Key's menu? Eggs Benedict. Golly, Lucy seems like a great kid. Can we babysit? Please? Please submit all baby-sitting offers to one of our email accounts. Enclose a resume and three character references. Serious inquiries only. Do you have anyone to watch Hobo while you're in Puerto Rico this March? Please submit all dog-sitting offers to one of our email accounts. Those sensitive to copious amounts of dog hair and dog saliva need not apply. Meg, are you in a show or anything? Meg will be dancing in "A Chorus Line" in Bloomington, Minn. in January and February. Visit www.bloomingtoncivictheatre.org. Will there be a co-ed softball team this summer? Yes! We are anticipating the return of the Albatross this summer. Looking for decent ballplayers of both sexes. We're not sure if we'll stay in Roseville or look elsewhere... details to come. Also! Looking for both sexes for a possible Dodgeball team playing for 6 weeks in March-April! If you can dodge traffic, you can dodge a ball. Interested? Please get a hold of us! |
| My Mommy is the greatest!! She dresses me in pretty little outfits and makes sure that my tummy is full. I like to play little jokes on her, which she doesn't think is all that funny. Like: 1. Pooping and wetting my diaper, which usually gets praises but sometimes it goes through and I think it is funny but my mommy does not. 2. When I am getting fed I like to "tickle" her with my sharp finger nails. 3. I think it is especially funny when I keep dropping my nuk and watching her having to keep picking it up. 4. She sings to me a lot and so when I wake up in the middle of the night, screaming at the top of my lungs the song back to her, she doesn't seem to appreciate it. My Daddy is also the greatest. He taught me how to relieve pressure from my butt, loud and proud. He tries to sing to me but most of the songs are made up and usually don't rhyme or make any sense so it makes me laugh. Sometimes in the morning before I go to daycare he will sing and dance for me, at the same time. Now that is really funny. I will have to teach him a thing or two about that when I figure out how to keep my hands out of my mouth. I can tell that Daddy doesn't think it's funny when I drool and spit up stuff on him or anywhere for that matter. But I will keep doing it until he gets the joke. That is just a few things but I will write more about my Mommy and Daddy as I get a little older. I do love them and they take very good care of me. Oh, I forgot something. I really like it a lot when Mommy and Daddy give me a bath!!! That is all. |
