Ignore my insightful musings and jump down to the Honda ad.

Someone was kind enough to send me the Netscape code for the Flash movie. I've got to update it soon. Over the past 10 days, we've gotten almost an additional 10,000 unique hits -- I'm up to nearly 17,000 unique IP address.

23-April-2003

We're over 7,500 unique IP addresses. More countries: Estonia, Korea, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, Trinidad. The link made it's way though NASA's Kennedy Space Center, which is cool, since my previous job was programming the operating system and control software for a NASA-funded satellite project.

Pushing 5,000 unique IP addresses -- from one email.

The country list continues to grow: Brazil, United Arab Emirates, Belgium, Norway, Singapore, Israel, Venezuela, Germany, Austria, India, New Zealand, Italy, Mexico, Malaysia, Finland, Denmark, Romania.

Three have been hits from many of the large technology corporations: IBM, Intel, Microsoft, Dell, HP/Compaq, Oracle, AT&T, Sybase, Siemens, Motorola, Cisco, Nortel.

Google has made its first crawl.

I have had visits from both Molson and Labatt. Go Canadian beer! (I miss Molson's XXX. I have fond memories of pounding those at certain establishments on St. Catherine St. in Montreal.)

It's really quite fascinating. I'm curious as to when I will get an email from someone pointing me to "this cool Honda ad."

Wow. OK. So this is a lot more popular than expected. I initially sent this link to five friends, only two of whom forwarded it off. Over 3800 unique IP addresses have hit this site, from all over the world -- Vancouver, San Diego, North Dakota, Australia, Hong Kong, England, The Netherlands, Japan, France.

My favorite hit is the one from a proxy server at toyota.com.

My apologies to you Netscape users, but the Flash code above only works in IE. I really didn't expect so many people to view this page.

The link below contains some interesting info on this ad. It took 606 takes to get it right.

Lights! Camera! Retake! (Daily Telegraph (UK))

Amazingly, only one part of this ad was actually computer generated. Try to figure it out. The link below has the answer for the impatient.

Take 606 (Daily Record (UK))

If you are an official representative of Honda, and wish me to remove this page, please contact me at this email address: . I initially mirrored the ad since your site in the UK was getting slammed due to a posting on Slashdot.

Shameless plug for SilverTech, the company hosting this page.
