PhotoShop Boot Camp

 

Students participated in online collaborative curricular projects and team activities to build samples of web-based instruction. Students explored methods for teaching concepts and skills that support use of web-based authoring tools in a school environment. Students used design principles to create web-based materials to support personal and professional development.

Rationale:

ISTE-TF.1 STANDARD: Technology Operations and Concepts -- Educational technology facilitators demonstrate an in-depth understanding of technology operations and concepts.
Through the creation of PhotoShop Boot Camp I was able to develop a complex means of subject presentation, making it simple enough for learners of all abilities.

ISTE-TF.2 STANDARD: Planning and Designing Learning Environments and Experiences -- Educational technology facilitators plan, design, and model effective learning environments and multiple experiences supported by technology.
Through this course I developed an effect means of presentation that students can view at their own leisure, replaying it as often as they needed.

ISTE-TF.3 STANDARD: Teaching, Learning, and the Curriculum -- Educational technology facilitators apply and implement curriculum plans that include methods and strategies for utilizing technology to maximize student learning.

PhotoShop Boot Camp was designed to improve student knowledge of the program PhotoShop. I have already seen an improvement of student knowledge.

Reflection:

By creating PhotoShop Boot Camp 101, I saw how I could break the processes of image manipulation down into small and understandable pieces for students and faculty. Additionally I found new and exciting resources through the program Dream Weaver.
