Welcome to Pam's Page

Professional Info:

I'm the computer teacher for Kindergarten - 8th grade students at Hillel Torah North Suburban Day School in Skokie, Illinois. I've been a teacher for about seven years. Before that, I was a public relations account executive, and before that (in the olden days) I was a newspaper reporter. I earned my B.A. in Journalism from Iowa State University before there was such a thing as personal computers (We edited our work with scissors and tape - how's that for high tech!). My M.A. in Teaching is from National-Louis University.

Personal Life:

My personal life has changed a lot in the past few years! After many years of a quiet, boring life with Lilly, my Doberman Pincher, I was married on Feb. 2, 2002 to Raffi. It took me about 3 years to learn to spell and pronounce his last name. I think that's why he finally decided to marry me.

If you've ever seen the movie "Blazing Saddles" you know how Lilly got her name. (It's her long skinny legs.) Our other neglected pets are a group of fish - 2 koi and a bunch of comets that live in the pond in our yard.

To make life even more exciting,we became parents on January 13, 2003, when Grace Lauren (left) and Jonathan Phillip (right) made an early entrance into the world. Grace was 2 lbs., 8 oz. Jon was 2 lbs., 1 oz. They were frightening, skinny little things -- as you can see below!

They've been working out and drinking high protein shakes, so they're getting pretty big. To see how cute they are, check out their online photo album.
