HOW COMPUTERS WORK A WebQuest for 11th & 12th Grade (Software Applications I & II) Designed by Introduction | Task | Process | Evaluation | Conclusion | Credits | Teacher Page This activity is designed to
both enhance the students knowledge and skills in software applications
I & II, specifically computer based knowledge and hands on production
of special projects. Students will have fun while learning. Students
will identify all of the parts of the computer and understand how they
function.
Students should be able to understand the basics of computer mechanics and demonstrate their knowledge by performing the following tasks:
Students will use tools such as , computers, the web, dreamweaver
and photoshop. Students should use the following
process to complete their tasks: 1. Students will work
in groups of two(2) to do all of the research required. They may use
the following link which provides information in all areas of computer basics.
Students will use the internet(google.com)
to do the research 2. Students will access
the Web to complete the match or hangman game using the following links.

For research and conceptional task performed, students will be rated using the following rubric. The highest score is 20

this lesson, they will be able to conceptualize all of the basic computer
hardware,demostrate how to use various search engines to gather information
via the "web", and demonstrate skill based knowedge of how to create and
