One of the advantages of using the Tablet is the classroom is the ability to work wirelessly.  This requires users to connect to the projector through the school network.

Make sure your projector is connected to the school network.

  • Make sure your projector is plugged into an active port.
  • When the projector is on, check the IP Address. The IP Address is projected onto the screen when you turn on the projector; it’s about ½ down the screen on the left hand side.
  • It should start with 172.17.xxx.xxx
  • If it starts with 169.xxx.xxx.xxx then the projector is plugged into a port that is not active.
  • Once the screen is connected to the network, the projector name and key number will be displayed.
  • One way to check to see if you are in an active port, the card the network cord plugs into is flashing on the projector.  Another Attempt would be to eject the card, and then plug it back in again.

Connecting to the projector

Open the Epson control program.

  • Choose your projector name (usually matching your classroom number)
  • When prompted enter the key number projected on your screen when you turn on the projector.
  • Please note On the IBM ThinkPad X-61 (2007-2008 Tablets), use the Advanced Connect.

Wireless system setup

Hardwire connection

  • When the school’s wireless network is unavailable, you will have to hardwire your connection.
  • On your Tablet press the “Fn” and the proper function button to change displays “F7” on the HP and Thinkpad, “F5” on the Toshiba’s.
  • Then connect the cable with the blue ends to the Tablet and Projector.
  • Press the Source Search button on your projector.
