I completed my porfolio for the Technology in Education program for this course. The portfolio was created using Dreamweaver. I used templates, tables, links and other features to create a final project. The portfolio will be presented on November 7, 2006 at Disney Magnet School.

Course Artifacts
This was a very important project for me for a number of reasons. To begin with, it was the culminating project for the two and a half years I have spent completing my Master's Degree in Technology in Education. By compiling all the information including the project artifacts, reflections and rationales relating the projects to the standards in technology education I was able to more clearly see my growth throughout the program, the projects whose creations have carried out into my actual teaching and how much I have accomplished overall. Secondly, developing this portfolio allowed me to re-acquaint myself with Dreamweaver. I developed three different templates, managed images, spacing, anchors, and links, and developed a user friendly and (hopefully) attractive project. In addition, I was able to include my own personal touches, such as including images of the projects, developing the bibliography to be accessed in two different ways, and including projects I was proud of that were from courses not considered benchmark for the program. Overall, the completion of this portfolio was a very positive experience, a good way for me to see how much I have accomplished and how I have grown.
ISTE-TF.1 STANDARD: Technology
Operations and Concepts -- Educational technology facilitators demonstrate
an in-depth understanding of technology operations and concepts.
Through this project, I was able to amass many of the technology based
projects I have created over the course of this two and a half year program.
My understanding of the uses of these technologies, their application
to the classroom, how best to share them with others and the depth of
my understanding is reflected in the growth of my knowledge and understanding
as demonstrated in this final portfolio.
ISTE-TF.7 STANDARD: Procedures, Policies,
Planning, and Budgeting for Technology Environments -- Educational technology
facilitators promote the development and implementation of technology
infrastructure, procedures, policies, plans, and budgets for P-12 schools.
With this portfolio project, I am able to demonstrate to my teaching team,
administrators, technology personal or other interested parties the depth
of my understanding in how to integrate technology into general education
practices. This includes using programs to organize, calculate and demonstrate
data, creating projects for use by students in their general curriculum
studies and developing meaningful and appropriate lessons for teachers
to help them gain knowledge in selected areas, including the use of technology
to enhance learning within general curriculum studies. I have familiarized
myself with technology plans, procedures, budgets and infrastructure in
the course of developing the projects that are highlighted here in this
portfolio.
