Did you know...

Students with a hearing loss are generally two grade levels behind in their reading comprehensions. Children who are hard of hearing will find it much more difficult than those with normal hearing to learn vocabulary, reading, writing, and language. Accommodations and modifications are key to helping students with a hearing loss be successful in the classroom.

To learn about strategies you can use to help your student be successful in the classroom please continue with the following activities.


Task:

To research information regarding accommodations and modifications relating students who have a hearing loss using web resources. Answer questions that relate to the information learned in the appropriate section of the curriculum web wikispace.

Time:

It should take you about 30 minutes to complete this activity. 10 minutes should be used to discuss questions in the wikispace.
