    From About.com's French homework help site.  This page can get you started with basic vocabulary, grammar, culture, etc...  It also has short lessons and self-tests.

    About.com's French homework help site.  Choose topics ranging from grammar, vocabulary, culture and more to be  guided to sites that can help you.  Register and you can get online help from experts and real-time answers to specific questions. 
The French Connection
    This site offers a lot of links to various French sites.  There is a section for accessing various French newspapers.  Be warned-some of the links appear to be dead.
 
Virtual Library
    This is a great general information site.  If you need to do research for any subject, this is the place to start.
 
French/English/French Dictionary
    Outstanding website that offers translations to/from many languages. Also, it has a conjugation function that will conjugate verbs in many languages.
 
French Television
    See real-time francophone television.  Remember, there is a time difference of seven hours between Chicago and Paris.
