Architectural
Process
Follow
this process,
1. Find some Internet sites about architectural designs
from around the world. Use the resources page to help you locate some information.
2. Compile information on some designs used around the
world and pick one or more to design your home around.
3. Make sure to save your research materials for me to
view.
4. Research materials that can be used to build your
home.
5. Tell me what materials you are going to use, (what they
are used for, what they cost, and why you are using them). Keep in mind what the home will be used for, e.g.
summer home, winter home, or permanent.
6. Create a schedule of materials with manufacturer,
quantity, and price.
7. Design your home using REVIT CAD.
8. Turn in a design and schedule to me when you are
finished.
9. You will have a total of three weeks to complete the
process.

A way to make
this process progress would be to look at the environment in which you wish to
build this structure in. Is it rainy,
does it snow, is it really hot (if so is it dry heat or humid), or is it really
cold?

It is important
to remember that an architect spends a lot of time doing materials research and
design reform. You must design your home
for practicality and what it is going to be used for and for how much out of a
given year it will be used.
