Upon joining the motivational team, our task is to gain approval from
the board of directors on our proposal. We want the company to
pay for a trip to Chicago for all the exuctives of our company. The
trip is needed because moral is low and sales have dropped.
As a motivational speaker, I will speak at the meeting to help
inspire the executives. The idea is that the executives will leave
the meeting so inspired that they will go back to work and inspire the
employees who report to them. Every company wants their employees
to have good things to say about the company. We want them to promote
our company and therefore increase the sales of our products. We
want them to love coming to work each day. We do not want any negative
opinions and/or complaints associated with our company.
As a motivational speaker, it is
my job to keep you focused, inspired, and on task. My favorite motivational
tool is technology, which we will use extensively in this task.
As a team, we need to accomplish
the six items below, which make up the proposal. There are a few guidelines
that must be followed that will be discussed later. But we also
want to be creative. In two weeks, we will present our proposal
to the board of directors (your classmates). At that time, we will
pitch our proposal.
The proposal must included the following
items:
A report (2-3 pages) describing the company
A brochure/invitation describing the proposal
A budget describing the cost of the proposal
A timeline describing the events of the meeting or the
history of the company
A presentation promoting the proposal
A journal describing how you accomplished this webquest
A critique of other team's presentation
