b) to be able to write the list of examples of branches of chemistry
c) to be able to compare and contrast basic research, and technological development.

Activities:

#1 Brainstorming Activity

1. Write all the words that you know about chemistry.Click Button.

2. Chemistry Careers
Search the internet and name and collect items to fill up your chemistry board. You chemistry board would be a page using power point, word, publisher, or your own drawing that can scan and paste it in any of the above medium.(button).

 

3. What do you think? Are science and technology the same? Write a paragraph and e-mail it to (button).

4. Brainstorm: What you know about the word chemistry? And What you want to learn. KWL(Button)

Laboratory Activities


Activities: #1

Today, you will pick up one instrument and it will be your name for this period. When you introduce yourself, pretend you are the instrument. Tell your classmate your name, what you can do or use for, and where to find it in the laboratory room.

Activity # 2

Finding your lab soul mate activities.
Now that you have heard every names and uses of different instruments, you will locate your family or partner to be able to synthesize one activity that all of your lab instruments can participate.
