What is a Haiku? Haiku is a type of Japanese poetry.
The theme is usually about nature, feelings, or experiences.

A Haiku has three short lines with a total of 17 syllables.
The first line usually contains five (5) syllables.
The second line seven (7) syllables.
The third line contains five (5) syllables.


Haiku doesn't rhyme, but should create a vivid image in the readers mind.
