The Dino Poems project is a great example of a teacher using technology to engage her students.  Not only did the students enjoy seeing and hearing themselves on the Internet, but it helped break up the monotony for the teacher.

This site is also a great way to show parents what the students are doing in the classroom.  You can do something similar in your classroom with practically any topic.
