Purpose of the class

To give students the opportunity to practice the basic uses and proper formatting in word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and simple data base software. Microsoft Office is use: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The Internet is used for research and search strategies are taught.

Course Content

Keyboarding skills will be refreshed through the online program CustomTyping. Students will do projects in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. MS Publisher and Paint will give the students oppurtunities to use their creative energy digitally. Researching skills on the Internet will taught and used for real investigation.
